Garth Brooks Publicly Denies Recent Sexual Assault Claims

  • 0

Country music star Garth Brooks has vehemently denied recent sexual assault allegations made against him by a former hairstylist and makeup artist. The woman, identified as 鈥淛ane Roe鈥 in a lawsuit filed in California, claims that Brooks sexually assaulted her in 2019 during a work trip. According to her suit, she was raped by Brooks in a Los Angeles hotel room and was subjected to repeated sexual advances while working for him. Brooks, however, strongly refuted the allegations, calling them an extortion attempt. In a statement to CNN, the singer revealed that he had been facing threats for months, demanding millions of dollars in 鈥渉ush money鈥澛. He stated, 鈥淗ush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money... I am not the man they have painted me to be鈥. The lawsuit also includes claims of Brooks exposing himself and sending explicit messages. In response, Brooks filed a preemptive lawsuit in Mississippi last month, accusing Roe of defamation and extortion. Roe鈥檚 attorneys argue Brooks鈥 previous legal action was an attempt to silence their client. They expressed confidence that Brooks would be held accountable. Brooks, who is continuing his tour amid the allegations, reiterated his trust in the legal system and maintained his innocence. "I do not fear the truth," he said.
