Carson Boyd, Cardinal Ritter football
A senior quarterback, Boyd passed for a career-best 406 yards while helping the Lions push their winning streak to 31 games with a 41-6 victory at Francis Howell. The 6-foot, 180-pound Boyd threw for three touchdowns, including a 73-yarder to Dejarrian Miller in the first quarter to tie the game. Boyd rushed for a 1-yard score to put the Lions ahead in the second quarter, then he had TD passes of 12 yards to Elijah Abdullah and 7 yards to Joquez Beck as Cardinal Ritter took control of the game. Verbally committed to the University of Illinois, Boyd has completed 66 of 82 passes this season for 957 yards and six touchdowns with only one interception.

Will Geary, Valley Park soccer
An athlete of many seasons, Geary recorded a pair of four-goal games over three days and scored 10 in the week to help the Hawks improve to 5-0. He scored all four goals, including the game winner in overtime, as the Hawks topped Bayless 4-3 in a South Central Activities Association showdown. A senior forward, Geary followed with four goals in an 8-0 nonconference victory against Festus and then had two goals in a 6-0 conference win over Maplewood-Richmond Heights. Geary ranks among area leaders with 38 points on 16 goals and four assists. He has signed to play baseball for Lindenwood and also is a standout basketball player for the Hawks.
Cameron Harris, Parkway South football
A 5-foot-10 and 175-pound senior running back, Harris set a single-game program record with 332 rushing yards as the Patriots improved to 2-1 by rallying for a 26-21 victory against Webster Groves in a Suburban Conference Orange Pool game. Harris rushed for a pair of touchdowns, his first two of the season, including the game-winner from 3 yards out with 7:05 to play. Earlier he scored on a 67-yard run. Harris’ output vaulted him to No. 1 in South’s annals over a 300-yard game two seasons ago by La’ron Easons. Harris, who also competes in track and field, ranks among area leaders this season with 511 rushing yards on 57 carries.
Connor Lanham, Lindbergh football
In his third year as a varsity player but first as a primary running back, the 6-foot and 175-pound senior made up for lost time Friday as the Flyers beat Ladue 28-14 in a Suburban Conference Red Pool game. Lanham had 40 of his team’s 66 carries for 253 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Lindbergh improved to 2-1. He rushed for an 8-yard touchdown that tied the game 7-7 in the first quarter and added a 14-yarder with 7:55 to go to provide the final margin. Lanham primarily was an inside linebacker the last two seasons, making 38 solo tackles and 35 assists as a junior to go along with one sack. He also rushed four times for 7 yards.
Emery McReynolds, Webster Groves softball
A senior shortstop and fourth-year varsity player who recently made a verbal commitment to Rockhurst University, McReynolds hit for the cycle and became Webster Groves’ all-time home runs leader in the process during a 15-6 victory against Kirkwood. She was 5 for 5 with two home runs, giving her a program-leading 10, passing the previous record of nine set by 2021 All-Metro first-team selection Myah King. In four games last week, McReynolds’ eight hits included the two homers, three doubles and one triple and she scored seven runs. Defensively, she had 10 assists, nine putouts, zero errors and helped turn one double play.
Elena Ruble, St. Pius X volleyball
A 5-foot-7 junior setter and multi-sport athlete, Ruble eclipsed the 2,000-assist plateau for her career during a victory against Marquette. It was one of eight victories last week for the Lancers, who were the Class 4 state runner-up last season. Ruble’s milestone came during a 49-assist performance in St. Pius’ 28-26, 25-17, 29-31, 25-19 win at Marquette. That was the third-highest assist total in a single match of her career. Ruble, a state track and field medalist in javelin and player on the Lancers’ girls basketball state semifinal qualifier in March, leads the area with an average of 10.33 assists per set. She has 372 assists this season in 36 sets.
Amelia Wiesler, Oakville softball
A senior and four-year starting catcher, Wiesler helped the Tigers to three victories last week and continued adding on to her status as the program’s all-time home runs leader. Wiesler was 2 for 4 with two home runs and three RBI in a 10-8 victory against Parkway West in a Suburban Conference Red Pool game. The home runs pushed Wiesler’s career total to 25, moving past 21 hit between 2017-20 by Ella Strickland, another four-year starter. For the week, Wiesler also had two doubles, five runs scored and seven RBI to go along with 27 putouts and three assists. For the season she is hitting for a .412 average with 17 RBI and five homers.
