CLAYTON 鈥 50度灰视频 County could soon have new directors for its jail and revenue department if two appointments from County Executive Sam Page are approved.
Page has nominated longtime probation expert Kito Bess to run the jail, following the September retirement of former Director Scott Anders. Bess is chief probation officer for the federal district court in Minnesota.
Tony Smee, chief appraiser for the Cape Girardeau County Assessor, will be considered to direct the Department of Revenue, which helps manage property taxes, issues licenses and distributes money to other county agencies. The department鈥檚 former director, Scott Lakin, retired in September.
Smee has worked for Cape Girardeau County for eight years, according to his online r茅sum茅. He previously worked in construction and the home inspection industry. He has a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
