Boundless, a growing software firm with 100 employees in five offices, is shifting its headquarters to downtown 50度灰视频 from its base in New York City.
Boundless currently has 25 employees in 5,000 square feet of office space at the T-Rex co-working and tech incubator building on Washington Avenue in 50度灰视频.
The company is hiring and could grow to 40 local employees within the next year, said CEO Andy Dearing, who has lived in 50度灰视频 since beginning his undergraduate studies at 50度灰视频 University in 1999. Dearing, who received his MBA from Maryville University, was named CEO of Boundless in late 2015.
In addition to New York, Boundless鈥 other offices are in Washington, D.C.; New Orleans; and Victoria, British Columbia. Companywide, Dearing projects Boundless鈥 workforce will grow to 150 within two years.
Boundless is a provider of commercially supported open geographic information systems (GIS), and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, which is building its new western headquarters campus in north 50度灰视频, is a client.

鈥淭here is a big geospatial presence in the Midwest and 50度灰视频 specifically,鈥 Dearing said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e pretty close to where (NGA鈥檚) new headquarters is. There鈥檚 a lot of potential to build geospatial intelligence here and we want to be a part of that.鈥
In addition to government clients, Boundless is growing its commercial sector client base, including agriculture and utilities. 鈥淲e鈥檙e starting to see a big uptick on the commercial side,鈥 Dearing said.
